Victor Sanchez praised Deportivo La Coruna for keeping their European hopes alive with a 1-1 draw at Real Sociedad in La Liga on Saturday.
The Galicians were forced to settle for a point in San Sebastian as Xabi Prieto’s second-half penalty cancelled out Luis Alberto’s opener, but the Coach was nonetheless pleased with his side’s efforts.
“The point, regardless of whether it is fair or not, is what it is,” he said after the game.
“It’s good for us and allows us to climb towards our objective [of European football].
“[On La Real creating more chances], goals, not chances, are remembered and which give or take away points.
“We played against Villarreal last week and deserved more, but we conceded a penalty at the death and came away emptyhanded.”
