Watford have completed the signing of winger Nordin Amrabat from Malaga for a reported €8m.
According to the Watford Observer, the Morocco international has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Hornets after they agreed to meet his release clause.
Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores said of his new arrival: “He can play at No 10; he holds the ball, he can turn quickly with the strength of a striker and escape the defensive line.
“He can also play as a winger because he has that pace and velocity – the power that adds to the options of a team.”
Amrabat, 28, initially joined Malaga in the summer of 2014 on a season-long loan and scored six goals in 31 La Liga appearances in his debut campaign to earn a permanent transfer.
However, he struggled to replicate such an impact in the first half of 2015-16, having been sidelined with knee injury.
