Celta Vigo have completed the signing of striker Claudio Beauvue from Lyon on a five-year contract.
The 27-year-old passed a medical on Sunday before putting pen to paper in a deal reportedly worth €5m.
Celta’s official website cites Beauvue’s “speed, attacking ability and strength in the air” as his best traits.
He rose to prominence with Guingamp last season, scoring 17 Ligue 1 goals as the side comfortably finished in mid-table.
However, his move to Lyon last summer saw him struggle to attain a first-team berth, although he still managed eight strikes in 28 appearances.
Beauvue, who has two caps for Guadeloupe, will be unveiled as Celta’s second signing this month after Marcelo Diaz at Balaidos on Monday.
