Paco Jemez has conceded that “everything” which reaches Rayo Vallecano’s goal currently “goes in” after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Levante.
Los Vallecanos remain without a win in La Liga since November and the division’s leakiest defence by some distance after the basement boys ended their own run of four straight losses, and the Coach attacked his players for “virtually scoring ourselves” the strikes they had conceded.
“Our defensive capability is so bad that we’re a team who can’t be in this division,” he said after the game.
“Everything on target goes in, but I can’t blame anyone in particular because there’s no-one solely at fault.
“We’re in a bad way because not picking up points, continuing to lose games and being in the relegation zone can’t be viewed as positive.
“We’re a team conceding a tremendous number of goals, and we can’t do anything about it at the moment.
“There are no excuses whatsoever. We had a good first half, but the problem is that this team concede goals that we virtually score ourselves.”
“Almost every team have scored against us and made it difficult for us to score against them.”
