Spain’s Administrative Tribunal for Sport has announced that it has rejected Real Madrid’s appeal for Copa del Rey reinstatement.
Los Blancos were forced to wait until Monday for TAD’s judgment due to the Christmas holidays, having already been knocked back by both the RFEF’s Competition Committee and Appeals panel and failed in their bid to obtain an injunction.
However, a statement released by the court reads: “Having analysed all the evidence, the court agreed to dismiss Real Madrid’s appeal.”
With no more sporting avenues left to pursue, Madrid are now expected to take their case to the National Court, in the same manner as Elche last season.
