Spain’s Administrative Tribunal for Sport says it will not make a decision on Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey reinstatement until after Christmas.
Los Blancos recently failed in an attempt to temporarily suspend their cup expulsion for fielding the banned Denis Cheryshev against Cadiz in the last 32 a fortnight ago, and they must now wait until December 28 for a definitive answer.
“TAD wishes to communicate that this issue was not addressed on Friday as Cadiz have not yet presented their arguments, their deadline being December 23,” read a statement released by TAD, Marca reports.
“As next Friday is Christmas Day, the next meeting will be at 13:00 CET on December 28.”
