Real Madrid have confirmed that they will take their appeal for Copa del Rey reinstatement to Spain’s Administrative Tribunal for Sport (TAD).
Los Blancos were knocked back by both the RFEF’s Competition Committee and Appeals panel after they were expelled from the cup for fielding an ineligible player in the suspended Denis Cheryshev against Cadiz last Wednesday, but they will not let up in their efforts for the decision to be overturned.
“Real Madrid C. F. has received and analysed the resolution of the Appeals Committee, which once again verifies that the player Denis Cheryshev was not notified of his ban, the only way the aforementioned ban can take effect,” a statement on Madrid’s website reads.
“The club has therefore submitted an appeal to the Administrative Court for Sport.”
