Unai Emery has admitted to a soft spot for Sevilla’s Copa del Rey opponents Logrones, one of the teams represented by his father.
The sides meet at Logrones’ Las Guanas home and Emery told a pre-match Press conference that he has good memories of the Rioja-based club.
“I’ve got a lot of respect for Logrones, first because of their history and because they’re top of the Segunda B. My father played for them and I’m fond of that team,” Emery said, AS reports.
“There are many reasons we want to win and play a good game. We want to grow and improve certain aspects of the sporting level.
“The Cup is tough because January complicates the competition, but it’s an objective that must be in mind.”
