Goalkeeper Yoel Rodriguez has left Valencia to join Rayo Vallecano on loan while Los Che are linked with Japan midfielder Takashi Usami.
AS reports Yoel’s move to Vallecas as cover for Tono, who has suffered a long-term injury.
Rayo have removed Tono from their squad as they search for a replacement and Yoel, on the sidelines at Mestalla, is it, Valencia confirmed on Thursday.
Usami, a 23-year-old on the books at Gamba Osaka, has, Super Deporte writes, caught the interest of Bundesliga trio Eintracht Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Werder Bremen and France’s Marseille.
A fee of €2m is mooted and it’s noted that Valencia have also been looking for ways to bolster their presence in the potentially-lucrative Asian market, which the signing of Usami could provide.
