Valencia midfielder Sofiane Feghouli bemoaned Los Che’s lack of luck after defeat to Gent threatened their Champions League future but not the outcome.
A penalty was enough to beat Nuno Santo’s team and Feghouli after the match didn’t deny the Belgians warranted victory.
“It’s a difficult result for us. They’re a good team, they clearly deserved to win, they won more duels and were more aggressive than us,” he admitted, AS reports.
“We have two finals now. We have to play well, come out strong, have good possession.
“It’s a shame about the penalty. It was a rare action. We didn’t get any luck. We’ll take the 1-0, we could have conceded more goals.
“I’m positive. I think we’ll get out the group. We go to Zenit St Petersburg to win and then we host Lyon. We can go through. We have to be positive. We have to be ready.”
