Abelardo Fernandez says the sky is the limit for Alen Halilovic following Sporting Gijon's 1-0 victory over Malaga on Sunday.
The Barcelona loanee scored the winner at El Molinon to catapult the Asturians into 12th place, and his Coach believes he is fast becoming the side's talisman with the “many solutions” he offers.
“The win is very good for morale and also because it allows us to move five points clear of the relegation places,” he said after the game.
“The first half was very even, with most of the play in midfield, while the second was end-to-end.
“[On his heavy rotation of the team], fatigue influences my changes. We're going to be suffering in every match.
“We're regaining our defensive shape, having conceded three goals in each of our last two games, and therefore we worked particularly hard in the week.
“I don't know Halilovic's limits. He's very young but already has a lot of personality. He always wants the ball and doesn't usually lose it. He's giving us many solutions going forward.
“Our next games are very difficult because we have to play Atletico Madrid and Celta [Vigo], so it's very important that we won this game, and also for the fans, who again were 10 out of 10.”
