Valencia have confirmed left-back Jose Gaya has suffered an injury to his right hamstring muscle and reports say he’ll be missing for up to a month.
The injury was reported on Los Che’s official website while Super Deporte put the defender’s recovery time at a minimum of three weeks.
Gaya was injured in Tuesday night’s defeat to Espanyol and Super Deporte speculate Gaya won’t be seen in a Valencia shirt until October 17 against Malaga.
He’ll miss Friday’s game against Granada, the Champions League tie with Lyon and the trip to Athletic Bilbao on October 3, with an international break following.
