Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has insisted that he did not mean to injure Rafinha following news of the Barcelona starlet’s ACL tear.
The Brazilian will miss the rest of the season after damaging the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee from a collision with the Giallorossi man during Wednesday’s 1-1 Champions League draw at the Olimpico.
“Sorry for the bad news Rafinha, it wasn’t my intention to hurt you,” he wrote on his official Twitter account.
“I hope to see you on the pitch soon. A big hug!”
Nainggolan inflicted a similar injury on Juventus starlet Federico Matiello last season, the 20-year-old breaking his leg just three matches into a loan spell with Chievo during a match against Roma in March.
