Sofiane Feghouli’s new Valencia contract will be discussed between President Lay Hoon Chan and the player’s agent amid ‘considerable differences.’
Super Deporte reports Lay Hoon will be in Spain for the Champions League game against Zenit St Petersburg and the trip will be used to discuss club business.
Feghouli’s renewal is one of the items on the agenda as the midfielder’s deal expires in 2016 and the terms his camp are looking for are so far greater than what Los Che are ready to offer.
The Algeria international is though a regular under Nuno Santo and is understood to want his new contract to reflect his status in the side. If a new deal is agreed it will last for either four or five seasons.
A resolution may not be found until November’s shareholders’ general meeting, at which a financial study will be presented that reflects an increase in the cost of the playing staff, and Feghouli’s contract will be ratified.
