Carlo Ancelotti has offered his support to Rafa Benitez, who replaced him as Real Madrid Coach. “I know what it’s like…”
Ancelotti was sacked at the end of the 2014-15 season, a year after taking Los Blancos to victory in the Champions League, with Benitez appointed after leaving Napoli.
“I know first-hand what it means to coach Real Madrid. I wish Rafa the best. I’ve got a lot of respect for his work,” Marca quotes the Italian as telling a Chinese website.
“I can only tell you he has a great squad under his command and I say that as I was fortunate to train them for the last two seasons.
“Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos are the two pillars. I wish them well too.”
