Barcelona starlet Alen Halilovic is expected to spend the season on loan at Sporting Gijon after a move to Hamburg collapsed.
Reports from Spain sign Abelardo, Coach of the Primera new boys, and sporting director Nico Rodriguez talked Halilovic into the transfer.
Barca are keen for the teenager to get regular football at a high level and wanted Halilovic to be guaranteed to play in 60% of matches if he had moved to Germany.
Mundo Deportivo say that clause won’t be included in the agreement to take Halilovic to El Molinon.
Halilovic should be a Sporting player by the end of the week, although it’s not thought he’ll be involved in the League opener, against Real Madrid on Sunday.
The youngster’s agent has also been quoted as confirming a move to Sporting will be completed at the end of the week.
