Deportivo La Coruna have punished Luisinho and Alejandro Arribas after the pair were involved in an altercation that disrupted training.
Sport reports the incident took place last week and the Galicians have suspended Luisinho for four days, taking into account previous breaches of discipline.
Both Luisinho and Arribas have been issued with fines, while Luisinho’s suspension will end on Sunday.
Luisinho on Tuesday evening apologised for his role in the confrontation in a statement published by the EFE news agency.
“[As images have shown] there was an argument between myself and a teammate in training, an ugly, inappropriate and wrong incident,” the statement said in part.
“I apologise again to the club, my teammates, the coaching staff and especially the fans of our Depor.”
