Sporting have signed Antonio Sanabria on loan from Roma but there’s no option to make the move permanent.
The Italians confirmed the deal on their official website and El Comercio add that while Roma are paying the forward’s wages, Sporting will top up his salary with an extra €129,000, the minimum wage and the maximum they’re allowed to pay under the terms of their financial sanctions.
Vice-President Javier Fernandez confirmed that unlike the case of Oscar Mascarell, who joined the Primera new boys from Real Madrid, there’s no option to sign Sanabria permanently.
Sanabria moved to Roma from Barcelona in 2014, never getting past the Catalans’ B team, and spent half-a-year at Sassuolo, as Roma had already filled their foreign player quota. He officially moved to the capital in July of last year.
