New Valencia goalkeeper Matthew Ryan is targeting Champions League qualification and trophies with Los Che.
Ryan was signed earlier in July from Club Brugge as the Mestalla club look to replace Diego Alves, who suffered a serious knee injury in the last game of last season.
“I want to play and for me it’s no added pressure to have to do so from the first minute,” Marca reports Ryan saying when asked about stepping in for Alves.
“I’m ambitious. The situation with Alves is out of my hands. I look at myself and I want to progress.
“[The objectives] are to win as many games as possible, play in the Champions League and go as far as possible. My main goal is to win trophies, especially the League. The club is ambitious and so am I.”
