Filipe Luis’ Atletico Madrid return could be in doubt as Chelsea have reportedly increased their valuation of the left-back.
Los Colchoneros had agreed a €15m deal with the Blues for the Brazil international, who has even passed a medical, but the Spanish Press claims the player’s club have moved the goalposts at the 11th hour.
Chelsea are currently in advanced negotiations with Augsburg for Baba Rahman, effectively a like-for-like replacement for Filipe Luis, but it is understood that the German side are holding out for €20m – some way from the Londoners’ opening bid of €11m.
However, Atleti are not expected to raise their offer, possibly leaving the transfer in jeopardy unless Chelsea can drive down the price for Rahman.
