Marseille have reportedly jumped to the front of the queue for Atletico Madrid right-back Javi Manquillo.
According to AS, the 21-year-old will make a decision on his future before the end of this week after it emerged that the French giants, managed by former Athletic Bilbao boss Marcelo Bielsa, significantly accelerated their pursuit of the player on Thursday.
L’OM were heavily linked with the defender last summer, before he joined Liverpool on a two-year loan deal, which was recently cancelled.
Despite Bordeaux appearing to be closing in on his signature, with Roma understood to be out of the running due to their reluctance to include a sell-back option, Manquillo is now likely to seek talks with Marseille.
