Sevilla President Jose Castro met with his Dnipro counterpart over Yevhen Konoplyanka, who could ignore the Premier League for Los Rojiblancos.
Konoplyanka has previously claimed he is only interested in moving to England but a report from Estadio Deportivo confirms a meeting between Castro and Igor Kolomoisky.
The summit took place in Geneva, where Kolomoisky is based and where Castro was attending a UEFA event.
Konoplyanka is available on a free transfer but Dnipro want a guarantee of a cut of any future transfer fee, said to be between 20% and 40%, and this is proving to be a sticking point as the winger is loyal to his club.
A four or five-year contract has been mooted and Konoplyanka fanned the flames by ‘liking’ an Instagram post that placed him next to the Sevilla badge. He removed the like shortly after.
Konoplyanaka has been strongly linked with English pair Stoke City and Liverpool, as well as Besiktas, but could yet accept Sevilla’s offer.
