Carlos Tevez’s high wages have thrown a proposed move from Juventus to Atletico Madrid into doubt, according to reports from Italy.
AS cites Sky Sports as saying the Argentine’s €4.5m a year won’t be matched by Atletico, even though Los Colchoneros are planning for next season with Tevez in mind.
Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has acknowledged Tevez and Andrea Pirlo are likely to leave the club.
Tevez was thought to be set on a return to Boca Juniors but the interest from compatriot Diego Simeone, who this week confirmed talks were on-going, could tempt him to Spain.
