Any club wanting to pry Unai Emery away from Sevilla will have to pay €1.5m as Milan and Manchester City are linked.
AS note that there is speculation both clubs are represented in Warsaw, where Emery and his team are preparing for Wednesday’s Europa League final with Dnipro.
Sporting director Monchi is quoted as saying ‘at the moment, Emery is the Coach for the final,’ which AS suggests means Emery’s future isn’t settled.
The Coach’s contract was automatically renewed as Sevilla qualified for the Europa League by virtue of finishing fifth in La Liga, and the club would reach the Champions League if they were victorious in Poland.
The €1.5m compensation package wouldn’t put off his suitors, AS say, while Emery’s contract at Sevilla would be improved should the club with the Europa League.
Real Madrid have also been linked to the trainer but it is expected Rafa Benitez will replace the sacked Carlo Ancelotti.
Sevilla meanwhile hope Emery continues as Coach next season, but AS say nothing is at this point guaranteed.
