Unai Emery refused to comment on speculation linking him with a summer exit from Sevilla after Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Almeria.
The Coach was recently linked with potential openings at Serie A sides Milan and Napoli, but he insisted he was only thinking about ending the season with a fourth-placed finish in La Liga and Europa League glory against Dnipro.
“I’m happy about continuing to compete for fourth place until the last day of the season. It gives me great satisfaction,” he said after the win at Sanchez Pizjuan, which moved the Andalucians to within just a point of Valencia.
“We wanted to round off the season well at home, and we did with the win, but we lacked continuity in our play.
“It’s a great day for us as we can continue our dream [of fourth place] until the last day of the season.
“However, I really want [my former club] Almeria to stay up and obviously I don’t like their situation.
“[On being linked with the likes of Milan and Napoli], the only reality for me is Sevilla. My future is Saturday against Malaga and the following Wednesday in Warsaw [the Europa League final against Dnipro].
“We have good times coming up, and I can’t afford to lose energy on worrying about other things.”
