Roberto Mancini has confirmed Inter’s interest in Malaga midfielder Sergi Darder but insisted that talk of an agreement is “absolutely false”.
Reports in the Spanish Press had claimed that the 21-year-old, who has played a key role in the Andalucians’ tilt for the Europa League this season, was closing in on a summer switch to the Nerazzurri.
Such speculation has since been acknowledged by their Coach, although he refused to be drawn on whether negotiations had already taken place.
"He's a player we’re following, like so many others,” he was quoted as saying by local newspaper Malaga Hoy at a Press conference.
“He’s young and has quality, but it’s absolutely false that we’ve reached an agreement.”
