Bayern Munich have confirmed they are keen to offer boss Pep Guardiola a contract extension at the Allianz Arena.
In an interview with Bild, Bayern President Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said he remained confident that an agreement could be reached with the former Barcelona Coach.
“I think there is a good chance of convincing Pep to continue as our Coach beyond 2016,” said the former Germany international striker.
“I’m not worried about outside interest from other clubs as that only shows the quality he has. Pep has total respect for the culture here at Bayern Munich.
“He only demands two things, with which I am in complete agreement, and they are quality and professionalism. There is nobody at this club who isn’t delighted with him and his work.”
Guardiola’s existing contract with the Bundesliga outfit expires in June 2016.
