Valencia President Amadeo Salvo insists Jose Luis Gaya will renew his contract at Mestalla rather than join Real Madrid.
It has been reported that Los Che will sell the left-back if he doesn’t put pen-to-paper on a new deal, with a fee of €18m mooted and Madrid and Manchester City watching on.
The club and player are still talking about an extension but Salvo told a group of reporters that he is confident Gaya will remain.
“Gaya will renew with Valencia and will not go to Madrid. You can quote that phrase,” he said, AS reports.
