Villarreal’s Mateo Musacchio has undergone a ‘successful’ operation on his fractured fibula and damaged ligaments.
The defender was injured during the 1-1 draw with Getafe and taken to the University Hospital, AS reports, and then on to a Madrid clinic.
No recovery date has yet been set but a period of six months has been speculated following the almost two-hour procedure.
