Victor Fernandez admits he is unsure about his long-term future at Deportivo La Coruna ahead of Wednesday’s match against Cordoba in La Liga.
A poor run of form has seen the Galicians drop to one place and a solitary point above the relegation zone, leaving the Coach to speculate over his position – one which he has held since the start of the season.
“All I’m thinking about is winning and preparing the team,” he said at a Press conference.
“It’s not true that there have been ultimatums from the board. I’m calm and serene.
“Maybe it’s the nature of the role that I’ve been given here. From the first moment, I’ve accepted responsibility.
“I’ve always defended this club, with elegance, respect and appreciation, but I don’t know when my date of departure will be.
“[Cordoba’s] recent results don’t reflect their performances
“They made a number of attractive signings in the winter, but the pressure and need to win means we can’t allow them to earn any points. We’ll play with maximum concentration.”
