Deportivo La Coruna have confirmed Victor Fernandez has left his position as Coach following the draw with Cordoba.
It was reported earlier in the week that the failure to record a home win against Cordoba would lead to Fernandez’s exit and the Galician club has released a statement on their official website to that end.
“Deportivo La Coruna would like to sincerely thank Victor Fernandez for his commitment to the project and work since becoming Coach until today,” the message reads.
The club have made no comment on the identity of Fernandez’s replacement but earlier reports suggested ex-Depor midfielder Victor Sanchez would take over.
Deportivo are fourth-bottom of La Primera prior to the completion of Week 30.
