Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca has revealed that fellow Colombian James Rodriguez “is in very good spirits and in no rush to recover” from a broken metatarsal.
The Real Madrid midfielder was stretchered off with the injury after just 26 minutes of his side’s 2-1 victory over Sevilla on February 4, in which he scored Los Blancos’ opening goal, and is expected back towards the end of March.
“James is in very good spirits and no hurry to recover,” the former Club Brugge hitman told WIN Sports.
“He says these injuries are difficult because you can go forward a week but then go back four more. [Colombia] need him fit for the Copa America [this summer].
Bacca then touched on his relationship with Sevilla Coach Unai Emery and his lifelong dream.
“I have good relationship with the Coach. He’s placed a lot of faith in me, I have to respect his decisions,” he added.
“I dream about [returning to Junior de Barranquilla one day].”
