Martin Demichelis is looking forward to Manchester City’s game against Barcelona, particularly meeting up with old friends.
Demichelis is a compatriot of Barca pair Javier Mascherano and Lionel Messi, and told reporters that he follows how they’re doing at Camp Nou as close as he can.
He is also a friend and teammate of Sergio Aguero and rates the forward as one of the best in the world, along with Messi.
“Leo and Kun are great friends, two of the best in football, and it will be good for football to see them and a high level, hopefully with Kun brighter than Messi,” the defender said, Sport reports.
Demichelis also reflected on his experience of playing Barca last year, when he was sent off at the Etihad Stadium.
“It was unfortunate for me and the team and left the game unbalanced,” he lamented.
“Until then the game was very, very even. It greatly influenced the outcome. But what happened a year ago is useless.”
