Victor Fernandez is confident Deportivo La Coruna are finally on the right track following their 2-0 victory over Eibar in La Liga on Friday.
The Galicians made it back-to-back wins for the first time this season thanks to goals from Lucas Perez and Ivan Cavaleiro against their fellow new boys at Riazor, meaning only three points now separate the two sides in mid-table.
“I’m happy for the team, players and fans,” the Coach said after the match.
“It was a difficult match to play in because of our opponents’ characteristics, but we were very rigorous. We were very diligent in defence and under pressure.
“In the first half, we struggled with our end product, there was too much traffic in the middle of the park and we didn’t shoot enough.
“In the second half, we were more practical and played the ball forward. Lucas’ goal broke the deadlock.
“We’re on the right track, but the season is still long and complicated. We need to remain prudent.”
