Athletic Bilbao captain Carlos Gurpegi has warned of the dangers posed by his side’s 0-0 first-leg Copa del Rey draw at Malaga.
The teams clash in the return at San Mames on Thursday, both hoping to get through to the semi-finals of the competition, and Gurpegi [pictured, right] is remaining cautious over the Basques’ chances.
“Even if you go in front they still only have to get one and you are out, so the tie will be decided by small details,” he told a Press conference.
“It’s true we are not playing our best football at the moment, but we can’t dwell on that because we have to find ways to win.
“Winning games will give us more confidence in the League and there’s nothing more we’d like than to reach the semi-finals.
“If we win on Thursday it would make it easier for us to do so next Sunday,” he explained.
