Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is convinced Real Madrid target Marco Reus will remain with the club next season.
Rumours of Reus’ wish to leave Dortmund have been doing the rounds for some time, with the player himself reported to have been learning Spanish, while he also signed several Real Madrid shirts at a training camp in La Manga recently.
However, Klopp believes the 25-year-old will stay at Signal Iduna Park despite his team having endured a torrid campaign in the Bundesliga, where they are currently in the relegation zone.
“I don’t think any of our players will leave if we don’t qualify for the Champions League next season. If Reus does ask to leave then I will have made a mistake with him,” he told Bild.
Reus, who is under contract until 2017, has a €25m release cause in his contract and is expected to make a decision on his future in March.
