Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc is the latest figure to deny claims that Marco Reus is set to join Real Madrid this month.
Madrid-based daily El Confidencial reported earlier in the week that Los Blancos had agreed to pay the Germany winger’s €25m release clause.
BVB CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke responded by stating “there’s nothing” to the rumours, while the player’s agent Dirk Hebel branded them as “utter nonsense”.
“You know, I’ve been confronted with this question [about Reus’ future] for years now,” Zorc told Bild.
“Almost every week I hear about such rumours. There’s no new developments, we want to continue working with Marco Reus for the long haul.”
