Emilio Butragueno has praised Sergio Ramos after the defender opened the scoring in Real Madrid’s Club World Cup final win.
Ramos scored against San Lorenzo having also netted in the semi-final victory over Cruz Azul, the centre-back going on to be named the tournament’s best player.
“He has again demonstrated personality in an important game. Ramos represents the values of Madrid,” Butragueno said, AS reports.
“His contract renewal? It’s not an issue for today, that’s for sure.
“Carlo Ancelotti has been able to motivate very good players and that is a great virtue. We’ve gone several weeks without Luka Modric and both James Rodriguez and Isco have adapted perfectly.”
