Getafe Coach Cosmin Contra has revealed Pedro Leon is unlikely to play against Villarreal as the LFP have yet to register the winger.
The LFP were ordered by a court decision to sign off on Leon’s registration but Contra told his pre-match Press conference that it hasn’t yet happened.
“Pedro Leon isn’t with the club because his registration isn’t completed. So far he can’t play,” Contra said, Marca reports.
It’s noted that the LFP can still register Leon before Sunday’s match but they have yet to provide the necessary documents.
“We have to be careful. He hasn’t played for more than three months. We have to take it slowly. Today it’s not necessary to say he’s not registered. If the registration comes, we’ll decide then.
“I don’t have permission from the club to call him. He’s won a major lawsuit against the LFP. If he can play, the club doesn’t have to give permission.”
