Deportivo La Coruna Coach Victor Fernandez believes tonight’s game against Getafe is very important to the season.
Fernandez said at his pre-match Press conference that the outcome against Getafe will be linked with the result in the previous round, a 0-0 draw against Espanyol.
“It’s a game that’s very, very important to us,” Fernandez noted, AS reports.
“To win would multiply the value of the draw [against Espanyol]. We need a positive outcome, to win.
“I’m convinced we will have the support of our fans, who will make the stadium vibrate like it did against Valencia.”
Fernandez warned however that El Geta won’t be pushovers but backed his side to rise to the challenge.
“Getafe are a very dangerous team, with very fast transitions and players of top quality in midfield,” he added.
“I think we’ve had some great training sessions and the team has been at a very good level. I’m happy with the work we’ve done and I value the game a great deal.”
