Djukic calls for Cordoba calm

New Cordoba boss Miroslav Djukic says his first mission is to take away any feelings of anxiety from the players.

The Serbian was appointed new Head Coach at the Nuevo Arcangel following the dismissal of Albert Ferrer on Monday and, at a hastily arranged Press conference, quickly announced his intentions.

“We’ll see how we adjust to the work we will be doing. We don’t want to impose systems or different styles until the players have had time to adapt and are confident with things.

“The first mission is to take away the pressure and anxiety they have had hanging over them and the victories will come,” remarked the former Valencia and Real Valladolid tactician, who also spoke of his aims.

“The medium-term objective is that the team is organised and aggressive so it remains competitive, while at the same time the players must want the ball to know how to interpret things at any time during a match,” he explained.
