Albert Ferrer believes Cordoba are on the right path after seeing much to be pleased with in the goalless draw against Espanyol.
Cordoba have had a slow start to the Primera but Ferrer told reporters if the team repeats this display in their next game, they can get their first win.
“We did better than our opponents but it’s always good to get something from a match,” he said, AS reports.
“Now we must go to Getafe and play the same, with the same intensity. We did good work today and few chances were given away.
“I felt secure on the bench, the team doing exactly what was asked.”
Ferrer explained why he only made two of his three substitutions, adding that he is confident goals and results will eventually arrive.
“We didn’t score but the goal will come,” Ferrer predicted.
“It wasn’t easy to change anyone. We were playing very well.
“We have to be solid like last year in order to develop and regain the winning feeling. This is the way forward.”
