Cordoba Coach Albert Ferrer believes Real Madrid’s Supercopa de Espana exertions could help his side in their League meeting tonight.
Ferrer returned Cordoba to the top flight after more than 40 years away and told reporters that the double-header against Atletico Madrid could work in Cordoba’s favour.
“Real Madrid have had two very competitive games and very tough matches against Atletico,” AS reports Ferrer as saying.
“They can be a bit tired but they have a very large squad. It’s a team with a lot of players and all of them with great quality.”
Ferrer represented Barcelona during a large part of his playing career and said he won’t hide his Catalan past, but the match isn’t about Madrid vs. Barca.
“Now I’m in the role of Cordoba Coach and I think about what it means for a person who defends these colours to go to the Bernabeu,” he added.
“When we go to Camp Nou it will be a game that makes me dream, but there is no spirit of rivalry for being a Barca player.”
