Angel Di Maria has been left out of Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid squad for tonight’s Supercopa second leg.
The Argentine, who has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bernabeu since the arrival of James Rodriguez, has reportedly been excluded from the match against Atletico Madrid in order to ensure he avoids picking up an injury.
Los Blancos’ Italian Coach confirmed yesterday that the winger has asked for a transfer away from the club, with the likes of Manchester United and even arch rivals Barcelona rumoured to be keen on signing him.
As a result, he will not feature tonight at the Vicente Calderon against the La Liga champions. The tie is locked at 1-1 following the first leg on Tuesday.
