Barcelona’s hopes of signing Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina are tied up with Real Madrid’s attempts to sell Angel Di Maria.
Sport cite reports from England that say Manchester United will downplay their efforts to sign Cuadrado as they feel they can sign Di Maria.
Paris Saint-Germain were in pole position for the Argentine but announced this week that negotiations had come to an end, alerting the Premier League side.
That means United are devoting time and resources to Di Maria and gives Barca another opening to get the Colombia international.
Fiorentina President Andrea Della Valle has been quoted as saying he would like to keep Cuadrado, but feels it’s more likely he’ll leave.
