Cuadrado ‘wants Barca & Man Utd bids’

Juan Cuadrado has asked Fiorentina to accept offers from Barcelona and Manchester United so he can decide his future, reports claim.

Mundo Deportivo say Barca and United are ‘going to war’ over the Colombia international, who caught the eye at the World Cup.

United Coach Louis van Gaal wants Cuadrado to be the right-sided wing-back in his 3-5-2 formation, while it has previously been claimed Cuadrado will replace Dani Alves as Barca’s right-back.

Fiorentina will also make an offer to Cuadrado, of a new contract to run until 2019 and a yearly wage of €2.5m.

United’s offer to the Serie A club will comprise of a €40m fee and €10m in bonuses, while Barca will also table a €40m bid but that includes all bonuses.

But Cuadrado wants the move to Barca, although his club may hold out for more money as they had to pay €15m to Udinese to sign the player outright.

Fiorentina had previously paid €7m for a half-share in Cuadrado and want a profit of between €25m and €27m on their €22m outlay.

That would mean an initial fee of at least €47m, which neither Barca nor United are willing to offer, MD add.
