Liverpool have completed the signing of Atletico Madrid right-back Javier Manquillo on an initial two-year loan deal.
The Reds have been heavily linked with the Rojiblancos prospect in recent weeks and the deal was made official this afternoon.
According to reports, the Merseysiders will have the option to sign the 20-year-old on a permanent basis in two years’ time for a fixed sum of €6m.
“I’m very happy to have signed for Liverpool,” Manquillo said. “I think it’s one of the biggest clubs in Europe. Any player would want to come and play here.”
