Joshua Guilavogui has left Atletico Madrid for Wolfsburg, the German Press has reported, in a €15m transfer.
AS cites stories from Germany that say Wolfsburg have paid a little under €15m to obtain 90% of the player’s rights, 12 months after Atletico paid €12m to St. Etienne for the midfielder.
Guilavogui struggled to get a place in the Atletico side, however, and was loaned back to St. Etienne for the second half of the season.
Diego Simeone resolved to let the Frenchman go this summer and Benfica were strongly linked, but it appears Wolfsburg will be Guilavogui’s next destination.
