Manchester United are on high-alert after Angel Di Maria’s proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain hit a snag.
Reports in France on Friday claimed that the Real Madrid midfielder was growing frustrated with the Ligue 1 champion’s reticence.
Laurent Blanc’s men can only sign Di Maria if they sell another one of their marquee names, following UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.
As such, the Argentina international has been left in limbo, with PSG unable to find the €55m that would prize him away from Santiago Bernabeu.
As such, The Sun claim this morning that Louis van Gaal’s men could be ready to pounce and make an offer within the next week.
Di Maria is thought to not want to report back to Madrid on August 5, and is hoping for a move before then.
The Premier League outfit have just signed a new kit manufacturing deal with Adidas, and do not have the same financial worries as PSG, so would be able to afford the midfielder’s fee.
