Andres Iniesta believes Barcelona have made a good move in snapping up Croatian youngster Alen Halilovic.
Halilovic has joined from Dinamo and while he is expected to be in the B team for the coming season, he has spent the summer with the seniors, catching Iniesta’s eye.
Iniesta also praised Rafinha, who has returned to the club after a year on loan at Celta Vigo under Luis Enrique.
“We’ve all seen that Halilovic is a very dynamic player with a lot of quality and a good profile that you look for at Barca,” Sport reports Iniesta as saying.
“He’s a player who has the right attitude and is killed in one-on-ones. He’s young and can improve.
“Rafinha we already know and he brings many things and now has experience. They’re here to help win titles.”
Iniesta also offered his thoughts on the signing of Ivan Rakitic, the Sevilla captain who has bolstered Barca’s midfield, and Jeremy Mathieu, the Valencia skipped added to the defence.
“We all know their qualities and what they can contribute. The club has sought to add what was missing from the team,” Iniesta continued.
“They are two players who have come to help achieve the goals of the season.”
Iniesta also welcomed Enrique to the bench, praised the signing of Luis Suarez and expressed his happiness that Xavi Hernandez is staying at the club.
